About CEO
Non-Traditional. Real-life.
West Stearns CEO is a class that aims to connect our businesses, our students, and our schools together in a unique, real-life entrepreneurial learning experience. It is offered to students from the Albany, Melrose and Sauk Centre school districts and is supported by local businesses serving these areas. The financial investment and content expertise of local businesses creates the foundation for WSCEO to thrive in our communities. They provide 100% of the funding needed for the program's operating costs.
Our Facilitator
James Schreiner
Mr. Schreiner began his teaching career in 1996 as a social studies teacher in Sauk Centre where he continues to teach today. He was drawn to the WSCEO program because it provides students with hands-on exposure to the diverse opportunities within their communities. This real-world leaning experience helps students grow in ways that go beyond what is possible in a traditional classroom setting.

"These experiences and relationships help students envision a future where they can grow and thrive. They develop essential interpersonal skills - such as firm handshakes, eye contact, and professional greetings - that not only build confidence but also prepare them for success beyond high school and empower them to pursue entrepreneurial opportunities." - James Schreiner
